About Jacksonville

Jacksonville is a small town of around 3,000 people in Jackson County, Oregon. The community was founded in the 1800s, when gold deposits were found in the area. Shortly after, however, the railroad bypassed the city, and Jacksonville has been a rural residential destination ever since.

In spite of its small size, Jacksonville residents have access to all necessary amenities and commercial destinations, as Medford sits just a few miles away. A number of historic landmarks sit in Jacksonville, including the Beekman House museum.
